After undergoing bariatric surgery and losing over 100 pounds, our gorgeous client made a powerful decision: to celebrate her transformation and newfound confidence with a boudoir session! Learning to love what she once loathed, she booked the session as a way to capture the hard work and personal growth she’d achieved.

What made you book a boudoir session?
I wanted to do something for myself that made me feel beautiful and sexy. I had bariatric surgery 2 yrs ago and never in a million years would have done this. I am still getting used to my new body and still struggle with how it looks, but celebrating the hard work I put into my journey to get here, was my decision maker.
How did you feel coming into the studio?
I was completely calm and excited. I had no clue what to expect (posing, outfit combos etc) but I complete faith in the team to work their magic. Rae asked about showing the girls freely and I was like sure! No problem. Basically, I would've stayed there all day and agreed to anything.
How did you feel during your session (specifically once you saw your photos on the back of camera)?
When I was turned around to see my hair and makeup, I was blown away. I didn't even recognize myself. For real, I looked like another person and I was like holy shit that's me! Pardon my French, but I felt fucking sexy as hell when I saw the pics on the camera. Blown away.
How did you feel after your session?
I was glowing afterwards. All I wanted to do was go out and flaunt myself and have that hey I have a sexy secret I just did and you don't know what it is. I was so excited to see my pictures and couldn't wait for the email to book my reveal. I made my husband take me out to dinner because I didn't want to just go home.
How do you feel now after seeing your final images?
OMG. I did legit cry when I saw the first picture. Ask Holly, I had to excuse myself and get a kleenex. I feel amazing! I have a whole new appreciation for my body. It is very hard to love something that you absolutely loathed for so long. I am in love with my body now.
I was so excited for my husband to see what I did that day and get his reaction to the pictures. For the first time, ever, I truly feel sexy and beautiful and I now understand what my husband says he sees in me (even when I am just in frumpy pj's) .
Anything you'd like to say to other women who are hesitating to do this for XYZ reason?
DO IT!
I was still questioning a bit with how the pictures would turn out because after losing 100lbs, things sag and there's extra skin in certain places that isn't flattering. But, OMG, if you asked me to do this again, I would in a heartbeat say YES! I still went out of my comfort zone. I was more nervous to see the pictures than anything else because I knew I would pick myself apart. Honestly, I really didn't. I loved hearing my husband's reactions but I enjoyed the way each picture made me feel. I felt like an enchantress out of a movie, seducing and luring you in, ready to cast a spell. Sexy scenes in a gothic/dark academia/witch's library and dungeon unlocked.
Seriously, do this for yourself. It is the most eye-opening and liberating things to do. You will not regret any of it. And if wearing lingerie is giving you anxiety, you can make everyday outfits sexy. I brought overalls :)
Anything else you'd like to add?
From the moment I booked until my reveal, the whole team was amazing. The attention to detail and really listening to what I wanted for my look meant so much to me. I didn't feel rushed or uncomfortable at any point during the session. I loved Rae's energy and vision and that she took my requests without hesitation. This was a fabulous experience from start to finish and I would love to do another in the other studio in the future. You allowed me to let my inner goddess come out to play and I don't think she will go into hiding again.
