Some women come in for a boudoir session to celebrate a birthday. Some come in just because. And some come in because they're standing at the beginning of a HUGE new chapter in their lives.
The Lovely M. came in for her very first session the day before bariatric surgery.
Yep. THE 👏 DAY 👏 BEFORE 👏
She was about to embark on a major health journey, and she wanted to document exactly where she was before it all began.
But her reasons went deeper than that.
After experiencing a traumatic event that had left her feeling disconnected from her confidence and sense of control over her own body, she wanted to reclaim those feelings.
She wanted to feel beautiful. Empowered. Confident.
And she wanted photos that would remind her of the woman she was at the very beginning of this journey.
So, we made it happen. ❤️

Fast-forward a year and a half… SHE'S BACK, BABY! 👏
A few weeks ago, she returned for her second session, and this time, those first-session nerves were replaced with pure excitement.
She knew exactly what to expect: a whole lot of fun, pampering, and a team ready to hype her up!

Post-Session Q&A
What made you book a boudoir session?
I wanted to capture photos of myself on my weight loss journey. I also wanted to feel empowered, confident, and in control of my body after experiencing a traumatic event that left me feeling the opposite of those things.
How did you feel coming into the studio?
I was excited and ready to be working with Sivan again. She made me feel so comfortable the first time that all of my nerves I experienced the first time were replaced with excitement and joy.
How did you feel during your session (specifically once you saw your photos on the back of camera)?
I felt sexy and beautiful. I felt confident and empowered. Seeing the photos also reminded me of how far I have come on my journey. It's different seeing yourself all dolled up and in photos versus what you see every day.
How did you feel after your session?
I felt great and ready to do it all over again!
How do you feel now after seeing your final images?
I still feel the high of the photoshoot and am proud of myself for all of my work. I keep wanting to show everyone I can the photos!
Anything you'd like to say to other women who are hesitating to do this for XYZ reason?
It may seem scary or out of your comfort zone, but this is one of the best things you can do for yourself. You will feel amazing during and afterwards! We forget how beautiful and strong we are and a photoshoot with Lovely in Lace is the perfect reminder of who we are!
Anything else you'd like to add?
Everyone at Lovely in Lace are so sweet and kind! It feels like you're hanging out with your best friends while you are there! I will always recommend boudoir photoshoots, especially with Lovely in Lace, to anyone interested!
